Oh god. A self-described 23-year-old "bisexy" "marxist-leninist evil tankie".

Their whole tumblr is full of stupid ideas and posts that read like "I don't like drama" in that way that means they're the one constantly causing the drama, but it's also full of posts with like 3 notes, so I'm not sure why you bothered bringing this to me, but if you want my thoughts on their... uh... "analysis", okay, fine.

Here are a couple of representative bits:

i think more people SHOULD be asking themselves why they like what they like, and if what they're doing is unintentionally further normalizing these behaviors (because i do think this can happen in fiction!).

So they're a clone of every other 23-year-old moron on tumblr, basically.

As usual, this fool is assuming that others have thought less and know less, but all they're actually doing is revealing how new they are to the entire debate.

It's certainly true that some abusers hide in kink spaces going "If you call me out, you're kinkshaming" while sneakily trying to cross people's boundaries...

It's also true that the exact kind of stupidass rhetoric in this post is used by tons of other abusers to go "See, I'm One Of The Good Ones™. I couldn't be an abuser!"

None of that is the real issue here. The real issue is that plenty of people have thought about this and don't think that horny fanfic is normalizing anything. They've been debating the issue longer than this poster has been alive, and to assume they're n00bs who Just Haven't Thought is the height of arrogance.

The real issue is that it's not a persecution complex to point out how often antis go bother people who were minding their own business.

The real issue is that they say "Other survivors are allowed to not like your coping mechanism", but what this usually means is "Other survivors are allowed to make their feelings your problem."

I know v0id-clawz is one of the recent people wa came after and you can see some of the asks on their blog. Its unfortunately quite real; thestargayzingetherian has a series of docs with receipts and miraculoustakes was also talking about it because they used to do the same thing to miraculous ladybug fans

If you search “salty kinkshamer” on wa’s blog you can also see some messed up stuff from like 2016 for yourself. She’s lying about not having seen the docs because everyone who contributed has been getting slammed

thank you for at least providing something for me to work with. while i still don’t know the full story, i can address a bit of research i did.

the only asks on the blogs of v0id-clawz (who is a catradora anti so i'd rather not dive too deep and break their boundaries or make myself uncomfortable) & miraculoustakes that i could find from searching "witch apologist" are VERY recent, like... as of yesterday recent. and there aren't more than 2-3 on each. not to mention, these still carry the same issue as you in that it’s all words from unnamed blogs with no proof. the fact that it’s multiple people means nothing when we know there’s a whole clique of people supposedly trying to “cancel” (for lack of a better term sorry) WA. also, i don't want to accuse you of anything so this isn't an attack because i'm still open to reading from you, but it looked to me like those anons' typing styles were similar to yours. not sure if that says anything (or enough) but i’m throwing it out there anyway.

i couldn't find anything on @thestargayzingetherian by searching "witch apologist", "doc", "document", and "receipt." do you have any other suggestions, or a link? or would she know what you're talking about since i tagged (feel free to ignore this btw; i apologize if you didn't want to be involved but i don't like mentioning people without them knowing)?

i don't really have an opinion about kink discourse, at least not one i'd like to share in public on any of my blogs. if you're going to assume my stance from this, make it neutral.

i'll be wary of stuff that went down in 2016-2018 since holding people accountable is important, but it's also important to remember that was 6-8 years ago, so i'm not too keen on defining someone by their actions after so much time. i had mindsets that i wasn't proud of as little as 3-4 years ago (although it didn't directly affect anyone nearly as much), so i believe in improvement. i mean, hell, i'm literally a catra kin/stan. that being said, i appreciate that you’re not trying to force me to break it off.

now, i’m speaking for WA here since i sent them a screenshot of this before posting, and here’s what they said (paraphrased):

1. they can’t access the google doc because it’s limited to invitations, and they’re not willing to give their main(?) email. they can’t create a new burner one because they need an extra phone number which isn’t readily available, but are currently looking into if they have any old ones from a while back. that being said (i have only partially brought this up in a different way), i can volunteer to do that with my own extra email and screenshot parts of it or something, or send a recording of me scrolling through. i’ll just need a link. UPDATE: they suggested the same thing right as i was ready to post this, and have already sent me the link. i’ll see what i can do.

like i said, i won’t reveal whether i’m positive or negative about kink stuff, but obviously i have to stand against certain dark themes people are into initiating such as CSEM, rape/CNC, actual incest (as opposed to catradora lmao), etc, which is what they claim to have been shaming years ago.

Two things:

1 a. I don't think kidding someone's feet automatically equals foot fetish. If you have someone a kiss on the shoulder doors that mean you have a shoulder fetish?

1 b. Even if he does, that didn't automatically make him evil or a creep. Kinks and fetishes are not moral indicators and acting like they do is juvenile. It might not be for you, or even make you uncomfortable, and that's okay. Live and let live.

2. I don't think it's fair to call Persephone a homewrecker when:

a. Minthe and Hades were not exclusive. Minthe was sleeping with Thanatos - Hades' adoptive son - and Hades was sleeping with Hera anyway.

b. Minthe was emotionally, verbally, and physically abusive to Hades. I feel like everyone forgets that she literally hit him. He shouldn't have been in that relationship anyways.

Okay first off, I’m sorry if I made it seem like I was kinkshaming at all. I was honestly just joking about that comparison and one of the main reasons why I said that it reminded me of Dan Schneider and that I was repulsed was because of the “creepy” aspect of it being placed in there, it was around the end that the person said that the kink seemed like it was only given to creepy guys. I don’t care about kinks genuinely and trust me I do mind my business when it comes to those things, again my apologies if I did come off immature.

But you’re right, his kink doesn’t make him a creep but the fact that he literally is creepy, manipulative, and an overall messed up person makes him a little bit more warranted for those kinds of comments since that’s literally how he represents himself in the comic. Hades is a slave owning, hypocritical, child neglecting, abusive, and overall tyrant to everyone who’s not kissing his ass and it’s not me exaggerating it’s literally just how he is that’s him as a person overall.

And I do think it is fair to call Persephone a homewrecker based on the very fact that they were seeing each other and breaking a lot of boundaries after Hades and Minthe officially made it official. Mind you, it was Hades who wanted to close the open relationship so yeah now seeing other people and touching them beyond the appropriate interaction between an employee and boss especially is now inappropriate and not something that you can just wave the “we’re not in a closed relationship” card at. Also, by definition Persephone was one of the sole reasons that Minthe and Hades broke up since Minthe started noticing just how overly affectionate they became with each other while working so yes, she is a homewrecker. She broke a home and please don’t comment by saying “there was never a home in the first place” because there was, you can’t just give homewrecking and emotional cheating a pass because you don’t like the character they still had history.

Also, trust me when I say no one forgets that Minthe hits him. Every single time I post about Minthe I make sure to acknowledge the fact that I don’t condone her actions and actually a lot of critics do as well since there’s a lot of people like you (not saying this in a bad way by the way) that do believe that many people are Minthe stans every time you discuss her without stating that fact. But even though yes, it was a fairly toxic relationship on both sides and they should’ve broke up much sooner like I said before there was still a relationship there that they were both in. It’s still emotional cheating and homewrecking on Hades and Persephone’s part, also Persephone doesn’t even know how Minthe treated Hades she just never cared about her feelings to begin with and pursued her boyfriend basically.

Also last thing but do you know what slap everyone does tend to forget a lot? Hecate when she slapped the ever loving shit out of Hades, now I’m not saying since that happened just forget about Minthe’s behavior at all but I am saying that we should all react to that slap the same. We all agree that it’s never okay to put your hands on someone so why should we condone it when it’s not Minthe?

Like, listen. I am not going to defend the porn industry, there is a lot of bad stuff there (like any other industry, even if I do find a fair amount of what porn depicts to range from ridiculous (no way that position is practical, please stop doing the splits) to gross (no kinkshaming). YKINMKATO. As long as everyone involved is sober and consenting, and no one is hurt (in ways they aren't okay with in the case of kinky stuff) it's just people making movies.

Plus, there are a ton of independent folks making porn that makes them feel good.

And mostly, the idea that watching porn makes you dangerous is absurd (literally have been to seminars about this). Watching movies with sword fights or ninjas doesn't make you more likely to attempt a duel or to try to ambush someone and martial arts in their direction.

Men are not all looking for excuses to commit violence. Watching a porn with violent or dehumanizing imagery isn't giving people the idea that those things are okay.

And plenty of women enjoy porn, and aren't convinced that they really want to participate in like... group sex or choking.

Ugh, this did sort of sound like a defense of porn, but honestly, whatever. As long as it's all SSC.

The point is is that media consumption =/= real life actions. Men aren't inherently predators. And watching porn "with the same eyes that you look at [other women] with" is a fucking absurd thing to demonize. Yes, I also watch cat videos and the news with the same eyes, I'm not looking at my cat and expecting her to do tricks, and I'm not watching everyone around me and expecting tax fraud or murder to break out at any moment.

To punish and institutionalize teenage boys for jerking off and looking at naked women to protect hypothetical girls and women is batshit crazy. "It's not normal"? For teenagers to masturbate and be curious about bodies and sex?

I know radfems think all sex involving men is oppression and violence, but to propose enacting violence on their own sons for something almost everyone does is beyond.

Thank you for your ask and for enjoying my writing!!! I have never done headcanons but my brain is filled with thoughts on fictional characters, so I am more than happy to do some. I am also open to answering drabbles and such :))

In regards to boundaries, I haven't said much on it because I wasn't sure where to put it or even how to begin specifying it. I have a hard time saying no without a clear idea of what the request would be and while I don't feel I have many hard no's, I will try to list out a few off the top of my head under the cut. I've also included some clarifying information.

CW for noncon, dubcon, cnc, self harm, etc, below

Noncon (No consent) or rape is a hard no for me, I am unwilling to write it and I do not see that changing.

Sexual assault is a no but attempted sexual assault is up in the air, I would never write it about a character I like but I might do something along the lines of, some random flirting, touching, grabbing you against your consent and how certain characters would react in response.

Dubcon (Dubious consent) is a bit iffy for me, I do have a sex pollen ask in my requests and I'd tag that dubcon but I am okay with it and I will be writing it. Mostly in regards to dubcon, I'm on the fence, if it gets too close to noncon, I will not write it but it's a bit of a case by case basis.

Cnc (Consensual non consent) is a bit of a fine line for me too, depending on what it is, I might be interested in it, but I probably won't write it of my own accord.

Self harm fics, like; your partner finding out about your self harm is also a no for me, just because I have gone through something like that and tbh, not the vibes.

I'd write about being self-conscious and your partner helping you by something sexual occurring or being kind and reassuring but I won't write about anything too self deprecating. This is for a number of reasons but mostly because I wouldn't personally want to read about something like that.

In relation to that, I enjoy degradation just as much as the next girl but I won't write anything where a character would actively think poorly of you or say something cruel because it's too mean for me :(( I want to imagine that the character thinks you hung the stars and the moon but again, case by case basis.

I will not write underage reader, I will write age gap because I am in my 20s and hot for characters older than me but I will never write a fic where the reader is underage, very icky vibes to me.

These are off the top of my head, I think I will make a more streamlined post with both do's and don'ts regarding what I write and link it to my bio but I think for now I have covered most of my bases.

I will add, I will not ever kinkshame someone and if you do send me a request I won't write for I may reply to it clarifying a boundary but please don't ever take it as me judging you! I write because I love reading and there are just some things I wouldn't read myself or be able to do justice for.

I am new to writing and so these are things I hadn't really considered previously. I appreciate you asking me for clarification and I hope I have answered appropriately and thoroughly.

Quickly before I forget and pass out asleep.

I dreamed there was a special fight where you could control Raphael, and ofc he considers himself a snowflake special enough to have a whole ass different UI when you select him. Sensibly the same, mind, but most of the assets were disposed differently (I should probably try to recreate it) and I think there was one additional small window for His Own Fight Log to separate himself from the others because Yes his own voice matters to him and he Wants you the Player to Pay Attention, I remember being so angry while taking screenshots to post them on Twitter, and writing "OFC HE HAS A DIFFERENT UI THIS SLUT"

And the voicelines. Fuck. The voicelines when you select him or touched some of his spells and passives (also the description were explained by himself, stuff like "*I* will do this and that, etc." yknow), they were driving me insane enough to make me go "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP" almost all of them made me feel like I was either getting sexually harassed or kinkshamed, sometimes both.

And I was so angry, fuck. He Knows this is hype, He Knows he feels powerful to play, He Knows you need him right now even though that was a player choice. But cmon. I fucking would agree to whatever bulshit he wants my character to go through if that means I can have my hands on him (i mean what? No you didnt read that SHUT UP) and I was sitting in front of my screen like "How DARE He. him and his perpetually flaccid dick"

As I'm writing this, more memories of this particular part of my dream are fading. I guess I couldn't get lucid enough to take the reins of it because it switched to my usual dreams. There was a section where I had to hide under some stairs, a ghost pursuing me, glitching objects I desperately tried to stack in front of me, being told that I needed to do something I can't remember, and so on, can't remember much at this point.

I thought the Raphael part of my dream was so real. I thought I really tweeted those screenshots. I was so sure I was screaming in both my best friend's and boyfriend's dms on discord. Imagine my disappointment right now. Imagine my relief, too, because fuck no I don't want to feel more than simple amusement whenever he appears on screen.

As I´ve stated before, I myself don´t see it as a kink. More as a bit of a lighter moment in between all the madness and blood and guts and gore galore that´s going on in this (cursed) building.

If you like someone's prompt you can then answer that comment with your work, be it directly writing it in the reply or adding a link to the anonymous story in AO3! Hello!

I decided I'd make this blog for things I'm excited about or put a lot of hard work into, but don't have anyone/anywhere to share with otherwise. Mostly personal things like musings, drawings, personal OC's and their stories, and other hobbies like writing/RP or games. I may also talk rarely about mental health issues as well, specifically dealing with things like intrusive thoughts or derealisation, so keep that in mind. sigh. tng update post. last night we watched "11001001" and then i did half of "too short a season" and then went to bed and then today i finished it.

11001001: not sure why everyone likes this episode? the scifi premise was cool enough of course but i feel like we spent so much time watching picard and riker almost have a threesome with this made up computer lady that it kind of ruins the effect.

it grosses me out that you can do that on the holodeck. LIKE, AT WORK? i am kinkshaming fr. it's basically using a blowup doll at your office building's tennis court or whatever

i hate the holodeck SO much. i'm not at all religious but every single holodeck episode makes me want to call a priest. that thing is unholy unnatural and it should NOT exist. i truly wish i had more to say

too short a season: i feel like there was a good episode hiding in here somewhere, but it's lost under the benjamin button gimmick. the old person makeup looks bad (i hate that kind of makeup anyway though) and the guy drinking both vials for no goddamn reason is so fucking stupid - i do at least like that his wife got to yell at him about it though. good for her

the most compelling part of this episode is that admiral button (i forget his name) thought he was picking the lesser evil when actually he was doing something fucking horrible. i think it would've been a lot more powerful if they'd kept him old and infirm, to have him brought before the people he'd wronged with age deteriorating him instead of...lack of age

also i cant help but notice the callback to a private little war from tos...kirk made the same decision and did also agree that it fell under the prime directive, but the difference was kirk didn't start it, the klingons did, and kirk chased them off before making sure both sides were exactly equal and then left them to it. and also he was fucking miserable about it the entire time because in that case it truly did seem to be the lesser evil but it was still so evil. a callback would have been nice...i just can't help but think how cool this episode could have been if it had been kirk all elderly and confronting his past mistakes. i know they couldn't do that though

i still have to do "when the bough breaks" "home soil" and "coming of age" on my own...that's so many episode 💀💀💀

FREE* PROOFREADING!!

I'm a new-to-the-industry proofreader looking for samples to add to a portfolio for prospective clients. For this reason, I'm inviting work from writers who would benefit from free proofreading, with the following guidelines:

No smut - it's okay if there's a little spicy bit here and there, because I can edit it out to make it work for a professional context, but if the work is just straight up erotica, I can't use it. Not kinkshaming, it just isn't suitable for my purpose right now. This may change in the future because proofreading/editing for steamy romance is absolutely a thing, it's just not what I'm aiming for at this moment.

Intended for (or already) public publishing - I would like to be able to reference back to, for instance, the piece published on AO3 or someone's blog or in print. Sample pieces have more impact if they are demonstrably from a real writer and not just something I cooked up with chatgpt to make myself look good.

I may wish to "sanitize" overt fandom content - this is something I might do for a fandom that (sigh) doesn't strike people as professional (like some kind of extremely horny anime). This would be a step I would take only for my version of the document, and I would only do this with the permission of the writer. I know it doesn't feel good to have your work scrubbed of its context, but this would only be for the version shown in my portfolio. You will receive my proofreading services (a tracked edit or annotated document, your choice, with fandom content intact) just like everyone else, it's just for the version displayed in my portfolio I might (with your permission!) like to change character and place names to make it generic.

At least 1000 words - I am happy to do longer pieces up to 10k, though I would be choosing specific pages or excerpts for my portfolio. I'm flexible on this, honestly. I could go through a website to catch spelling and grammar problems on, for instance, a series of blog posts. I'd just like a given project to be worth the effort and yield something for my portfolio.

In English - I can wholeheartedly offer my services in US English! I can do my best with UK/AUS/NZ etc English, but I'm hesitant due to, y'know, wanting to make myself look good in my own portfolio. I'm not good enough in any other language to offer proofreading. Sorry!

Willing to be identified by at least your pen name - again, what makes these samples helpful for me is that I can demonstrate that they were real things published by real authors, even if just a username or pseudonym. All works must attributed to someone.
